“To meet or not to meet?” isn’t always the question.

How and where to meet often are just as important.

The London-based Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) released the results of a survey which shows that business leaders want more collaboration in person.

The survey results found about 89% say communications where people can see and respond to each other are beneficial for employee coaching, training and overall communications. They found that in-person meetings are important when resolving major problems – not to mention project kickoffs, initial meetings, and contract renewals.

Virtual meetings may be cost-effective and expedient – but rarely are they as effective as meeting face to face.
